The William M. Etgen Memorial Scholarships are presented annually to two dairy science students in recognition of the contributions Dr. Etgen made to the education of students at Virginia Tech. Recipients shall exhibit those qualities representative of Doc's life and his teachings: spirited enthusiasm, self-motivation, humor and compassion, and an infinite love for the good dairy cow. Recipients shall be ones who seize opportunities with vigor, follow through with determination, and whatever the outcome, achieve personal growth. Dairy science sophomores and juniors are eligible for the scholarships which are presented annually at the Little All-American awards banquet. |
