Research
Dr. Corl's research focuses on the lipid metabolism of dairy cows. The major thrust of his program involves investigations of milk fat synthesis and control of milk fatty acid profile. He has specific interests in the molecular and cellular regulation of of milk fat synthesis and the regulation and genetics of stearoyl-CoA desaturase. Additionally, Dr. Corl also investigates adipocyte metabolism and the regulation of lipogenesis in adipocytes.
